This applicant wishes to proceed to Shanghai via Hong Kong.
He states that he is prepared to show a through ticket to Shanghai but that he is not sure whether he will be able to continue his journey from Hong Kong by sea.
There seems to be a possibility of his remaining in Hong Kong longer than the normal transit period.
SCHMIDT came to France a few months ago after service with the Spanish Govemment forces as an airman.
I gather that the service in question lasted from January to April of this year. He informs me that he has received an offer to fly for the Chinese Govern- ment in Nankin.
